SEO Reports
Overview
Section titled “Overview”SEO Reports grade how search-ready each product is. MicroPIM runs a set of checks against a product’s content, meta fields, media, categories, and pricing, combines them into an overall score out of 100, and lists specific recommendations for what to fix. Generate reports one product at a time or in bulk across your catalog.

What the page shows
Section titled “What the page shows”The SEO Reports page opens on a dashboard of your organization’s reports:
- Summary cards — total reports, and how many fall into each grade: Excellent, Good, Fair, and Needs Attention.
- Per-product table — each product’s name and SKU, its score out of 100 with a color-coded badge, its status, and when the report was generated.
- Filter and search — filter by grade (excellent, good, fair, poor) or search by product name or SKU to prioritize the products that need the most work.
Generating reports
Section titled “Generating reports”- Single product — generate a report for one product on demand. It runs immediately and opens the detailed breakdown.
- Regenerate — re-run the analysis for a product to pick up recent content changes (this creates a fresh report).
- Generate all — queue a bulk run for the whole catalog. It processes in the background. A standard bulk run scores products that don’t yet have a report (in batches); choose to regenerate to refresh every product’s score.
How scoring works
Section titled “How scoring works”Each report runs 15 independent checks. Every check produces its own score from 0 to 100, and the overall score is the average of all 15 checks, rounded to a whole number — so each check contributes equally to the final result.
The 15 checks are:
| Check | What it evaluates |
|---|---|
| Product title | Length (best around 50–60 characters), not all-caps, includes the brand |
| Meta description | Present, ideal length ~120–165 characters |
| URL slug | Present, concise, lowercase, hyphenated (no underscores or odd characters) |
| Image alt text | Share of product images that have alt text |
| Product description | Present and substantial (300+ characters scores best) |
| Short description | Present and a useful length |
| Product attributes | Enough attributes filled in, including key ones like color, size, material, brand, model |
| Schema markup readiness | Fields needed for Product structured data (name, description, price, SKU, availability, image) |
| Category assignment | Assigned to categories (a small, focused set scores best) |
| Content uniqueness | No placeholder/boilerplate text; description is substantial |
| Meta keywords & title | Keywords present and reasonable in number; meta title quality |
| Media coverage | Enough images/media (three or more scores best) |
| Tags & taxonomy | Tags present and a brand assigned |
| Pricing & availability | Valid price, stock status, and currency set |
| Image optimization | Images aren’t oversized relative to a size threshold |
Grades
Section titled “Grades”The overall score maps to a grade shown throughout the dashboard:
| Grade | Score |
|---|---|
| Excellent | 80–100 |
| Good | 60–79 |
| Fair | 40–59 |
| Poor (Needs Attention) | Below 40 |
Recommendations
Section titled “Recommendations”Each check that isn’t perfect adds targeted recommendations to the report — for example “Add a compelling meta description (150–160 characters)” or “Add more descriptive keywords to reach 50–60 characters.” Open a product’s report to see its full breakdown: every check, its score and status, and the recommendations tied to it, each with a priority so you know what to fix first.
