How low stock is determined
Section titled “How low stock is determined”An inventory record is marked low stock when its minimum stock level is greater than zero and its available quantity is at or below that level (but still above zero). If available quantity reaches zero, the record becomes out of stock instead.
The stock status is maintained automatically whenever stock changes, and the Low Stock page lists every record currently in the low-stock state, ordered by quantity.
Low Stock Alerts
Section titled “Low Stock Alerts”MicroPIM raises alerts as in-app notifications (the notification bell):
- Alerts are event-driven — they fire the moment a stock change moves a record into the low stock or out of stock status.
- A notification is sent to your organization’s users, respecting each user’s notification preferences for product stock alerts.
- Each alert links to the affected warehouse’s inventory.
