Product Settings
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Product Settings define organization-wide defaults for product data, such as default status, required fields, and display options. These settings are accessed through the organization profile page.

Fields
Section titled “Fields”| Field | Description |

| Default Status | Status applied to newly created products |
| Required Fields | Fields that must be filled before saving |
| Default Currency | Primary currency for pricing |
| Weight Unit | Default weight measurement (kg, lb, g) |
| Dimension Unit | Default dimension measurement (cm, in, mm) |
| SKU Prefix | Optional prefix for auto-generated SKUs |
Inventory settings
Section titled “Inventory settings”Product Settings also control how MicroPIM tracks stock across your catalog.
| Setting | Effect on inventory |
|---|---|
| Stock management mode | Switches between Simple (a single flat stock quantity per product) and Warehouse inventory (per-warehouse stock records, transfers, and goods receiving). See Stock Management Modes. |
| Sync supplier stock | When enabled, stock levels from supplier feeds update your products. Off by default. |
| Sync supplier price | When enabled, cost prices from supplier feeds update your products. Off by default. |
How the stock mode affects stocking
Section titled “How the stock mode affects stocking”- Simple mode — each product carries one flat stock quantity and an in/out-of-stock flag. No warehouses, transfers, or goods receiving.
- Warehouse inventory mode — every product gets an inventory record per warehouse, and the product’s total stock reflects the sum across warehouses. This unlocks Inventory Management, Warehouses, Transfers, and Goods Receiving.
