Transfers

Transfers move stock from one of your warehouses to another. Each transfer covers a single product (and optional variation) with a quantity, and moves through an approval workflow that reserves stock in transit and updates both warehouses on completion.

Transfers are used to rebalance stock across locations — for example to replenish a low-stock warehouse from one that has surplus. They apply only in Warehouse inventory mode.

To create a transfer, pick a source and destination warehouse, choose the product and quantity, and save — the transfer starts in the pending state.

  1. Open Inventory → Transfers and select Create Transfer.
  2. Choose the source and destination warehouses (they must be different).
  3. Select the product (and variation) and enter the quantity.
  4. Optionally add an expected arrival date, carrier, tracking number, and notes.
  5. Save. MicroPIM checks that the source warehouse has enough available stock and creates the transfer in the pending state.

Each transfer gets a unique reference number in the form TRF-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXXXX.
